Glückes genug

Dear little soul

That's German for "Perfect Happiness". That's what I feel right now. No rush for you to come, and these days I have time to play piano (like Schumann's Kinderszenen) and rearrange the bookcase.

The other day we put a book shelf above the piano. I've been meaning to do that for years!

At my last lesson with my teacher, we discussed practice rituals. He said I should start practising in front of you as soon as possible, so you'll get used to it. Some friends of mine have protected their kids from their hobbies and practice ... and then when they turn 2 or so, the parents pick it up again. But sometimes parents experience resistance from their kids, who want their parents' full attention. I would like to avoid that! If you get used to hearing piano all the time, not only will you see it as something quite normal ... you might even want to try playing yourself? But I won't make you. I want you to be perfectly happy, in whatever you decide you want to do.

I wonder whether you'll like music when you get a bit bigger?

Anyway, back to the topic of "perfect happiness", I heard yesterday from my Soul Mother and Soul Father that they will be coming for a visit to meet you and see us! In mid-August until early September, we will be all perfectly happy, won't we? Wonderful news! Hooray!

Lots of love

your Soul Mama

  1. Isn't your soul Papa wonderful? He's also been doing a great job supporting me and getting things ready in the house for us all. And his singing and dancing have been getting a work out - he's very excited these days at the prospect of meeting you so soon! We both are!
